Is there any difference if you soft proof using Lightroom instead of Photoshop?

Reading the comment, its seems like everyone going to great lengths to to fix possibly clogged print heads. flushing, soaking, cleaning cycles, soaking overnight, water, alcohol, sonic cleaning, taking the printer apart, etc, etc. Understandable since its sucks to pay up for a print head, they arent cheap but if a new print head will fix the issue, isnt it just worth it to to buy one and save yourself hours, days of frustration and headaches? How can one be sure its the print head?

Were all these "preview" from custom profiles ( I guess so...) ? Were they actually confirmed on print?

Jose: I have a canon pixma pro 300 that just went belly up with the ink absorber error. I still have a pro 10 that was replaced because of a bad print head error. I would like to put the print head from the 300 into the 10 but the 10 is in error mode and I can't acsess the print head to make the swap. Is there a way I can release the printhead with the white and orange lamps flashing?

Would you recommend pigment inks for a stickers business? The stickers would have a uv coating but not sure it would prevent fading long term on dye inks.

My P900 produces excellent quality, museum-worthy prints and I'd never consider putting anything other than Epson ink in it. I also have an older Canon printer and I'd never use anything other than Canon ink in that--it's just not worth it. In addition to risking printer operation, I sell "archival" prints, and part of that means using OEM pigment-based ink (with a supposed 200-400-year life). Re the "starter" ink carts for the P900, I was able to make a lot of prints before any needed replacement, but it would be nice of them to have supplied full carts (although many OEMs do that)! I do a lot of B&W, so the blacks and greys need more frequent replacement. Another tip--you always need to make sure to have a spare maintenance tank. BtW, I switched from Canon due to bad customer service--Epson is great in that regard.

I have an epson wf 7720. I dissassembled the printhead to clean it. I used windex, distilled water and an ultrasonic cleaner to clean it. It still doesnt print all colors. Ive tried flushing it a few times after that but nothing. Im thinking the seal is not properly sealed to create a proper vaccuum. Does the gasket/seal need some sort of lubrication to properly seal?

Jose, since the Canon 700 ml Carts don't use bladder bags can I just drill a hole somewhere in that cartridge and empty that cart into a 1 liter bottle for future repurposing ? Also, where on the 700 ml would be the best place to drill and is there a special long needles/ syringe to use? Lastly, must I drill into the 700 ml carts an airport too and sick something in there . I don't own the 1000 yet, about to purchase Thank you ! Watch my luck, a successor to the pro 1000 will come out with eco tanks !!

Seems too risky to use 3rd party. Some people say this, some say that. The ingredients aren't the same, so they won't be the same. Whether that means longevity, or other factors unforeseen/unknown - I'm sticking with OEM.

I have a problem with printing colours. My Epson L850 is on 0 printing too blue photos and then when I change any number or on colour wheel never seen the best colour, my budget for reprinting is flying.

I advise any Pro-100 and Pro-200 user just use OEM CLI-8 carts. Now they are dirty cheap and they are much better than 3rd party inks, even from PC. Just make a custom icc profile.

Hola Jose, Is there a difference between the Epson 502 and 552 black inks? I know the bottles have different coded caps but, are the inks compatible? I ask because I noticed the combo ink packs from Epson does not include the black ink. The coded caps prevents users from pouring the wrong ink into a wrong tank. I also noticed that initialization consumes some ink. After printing a few dozen images, I used the remaining ink on the original bottles to top off the tanks.

I finally was able to sell my old Canon Pro-100 about 2 months ago. Was frustrated by how frequently the heads clogged, particularly if I failed to use the printer for a few weeks (even using the print schedule with Q1). The price of the original Canon inks are so expensive, and I found refilling tanks with third party inks, plus dealing with chips to be very annoying. At 71, I certainly did not need so much complication in my life! I ended up buying an ET-3850 so I could print small 4x6 prints of our grandchild, which keeps me & my wife happy. I was pleasantly surprised with the Eco Tank system, and how inexpensive the inks are, as well as how many photos you can print on a set of ink bottles. And NO CHIPS!!! Did not take me long to upgrade the ET-3850 to an ET-8550. Right now I am very happy. Super contento con mi 8550! Glad to see you continue to help so many. Saludos!

I have problems with cheap glossy often. Could be user error but i try different settings. It's usually the first few prints that get some black splotches. Any decent paper i have zero problems.

I use the Staples 4X6 Glossy and the Staples Satin and Matte in 8.5X11 in my ET8550. They all work very well and the results are great using custom profiles.

So I can’t find anything on the sc-f570 to reset the maintenance box I can order one but I cleaned this one out and wanted to reset it . Any temporary ways or tricks on this printer

The Canon PFI-1700 cartridges. How do I remove the ink from these to feed a canon Pro 1000 which uses 80 ml ink? On my epson 3800 with 700 ml carts I was able to open them up and drain the ink from the bag that was inside these mammoth cartridges Do the Canon 700 ml carts have Bags inside of them too or must I use extraction needles? Thank you in advance,

The only sensors I need are my eyes, which can see that the printout is imperfect, and it is therefore time to fill the ink cartridge.

Hi Jose You are so right, my prints are stacking up, and are getting better over time, online there are so many places to find butifully art or pictures for print, it is a equal art to make and frame, i injoy to make the frames, but, how to make the passpartout wen to make a wide frame around the print, and should it be symmetrical, chuse it's coller and to witch style frame. Is nozzle check counted as print out? As it actually triggers all 12 inks on pro 1000?
